Tips for Freezing Weather
When the weather is too cold for a neighborhood stroller ride with baby, you can still get out and have some fun with your baby! Here are a few ideas for this chilly week: The Carmel Clay Public Library--very stroller friendly, parking friendly with a connecting and new parking garage. The Cafe is very appealing and a great place to meet your fellow friends!

The above is a fantastic site to keep handy, especially in January and February coming up...Be ready for very easy parking inside a convenient and connecting parking garage. With your stroller in hand, roll your new baby into a very entertaining and pleasant children's area on the first floor. Today I conducted a lactation visit in one of the side rooms. I observed many moms and babies coming and going from a very well attended drop in play group in the adjacent Children's Area. According to the Librarian, there will be more of these drop in play groups scheduled in January and February. This one was Tuesday 10-11:30. Many friends then ventured to the coffee area for more camaraderie. Some moms took the elevator upstairs to the beautifully renovated area where full windows allowed the light to stream in, and parents could read on new furniture and check out new book releases. This place may just be what new moms need to beat the winter blues in Indiana!The Keystone at the Crossing Fashion Mall--also very stroller friendly with some garage parking on the side by Anthropologie. Wear your tennis shoes and be prepared to get your steps in and feel better! It may be a pricier trip out, as it is hard to walk by those neat stores and not stop in. Either way, it's good to get out and see the sights. Remember to have lunch out too! Great to have a change of pace. Stop and nurse or ask the wait staff for a mug of hot water to warm up your bottle of expressed breast milk. It does wonders to just have some time out of the house to window shop too. Babies love to sit up in the stroller and check out the sights as well.
